Patty Nyquist

Patty and her family have been Dublin residents for 12 years. She has two children who have attended Dublin City Schools since kindergarten.  Her son Roman and her daughter Reyna are currently high school students with rich educational experiences. Patty has served as a room parent over multiple years for both children’s classrooms. Together, they have given back to the Dublin community by serving as volunteers for events such as the Special Olympics and the Dublin 4th of July celebrations.

As an educator, Patty is looking forward to being able to continue to serve Dublin as part of the community and the Dublin Education Foundation.  Patty has earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees in the field of education.  She was an elementary school classroom teacher, reading specialist, data and assessment coordinator, and teacher on special assignment for school improvement within the Dublin City Schools.  Patty works on behalf of the students of Ohio in her current role as a Senior Executive Director at the state department of education.

Throughout her educational career, she has had the opportunity to implement and observe innovative classroom practices that address the ever changing needs of students.  She looks forward to supporting Dublin educators as they look to create positive learning environments for all students. Being part of the Dublin Education Foundation board is one way that she can do this important work.
