Our Story
Founded in 1999 as a non-profit, the Dublin Education Foundation (DEF) supports innovative educators by providing grant funding for enriching opportunities in Dublin City Schools. The goal is to deepen educational experiences and inspire our learners and educators. Through the charitable giving of our community partners including businesses, alumni, educators, and residents, we have awarded over 400 grants.

Dublin Scioto High School’s annual Immersive Experience empowers our students to grow as learners and individuals through the collaborative bond which brings history and theatre together. DEF Grant submitted by DSHS teacher John Witt.

Katzinger’s Delicatessen Dublin and Napa Kitchen + Bar have continued to support the mission of DEF.
Locally owned and operated, Katzinger’s is much more than an award-winning traditional New York-style delicatessen with both dine-in and carry-out service. Also a specialty foods store featuring artisan cheeses, meats, dry goods, breads, homemade desserts and wine, Katzinger’s is a one-stop party prep for any occasion large or small.
NAPA Kitchen + Bar is inspired by the spirit of gathering around a table with friends and family to connect over wine and food. With wine philosophy rooted in approachability and exploration, NAPA’s retail wine selection is 400 bottles deep, sourced from around the world and available for take-home purchase at a 50-percent discount.
