Shilpa Kadaba Shamanna
Shilpa Shamanna, a Dublin resident for 9 years, is an active volunteer at Dublin CIty Schools ( Scottish Corners Elementary) and is the assistant pack leader & Secretary for the Boy Scouts of America, Pack 210 for the last 5 years . In addition to volunteering as the Multicultural Chair at SCE, Shilpa has always been looking for opportunities in the school and the district to make a difference in the lives of the students and teachers. Shilpa has seen first hand what a wonderful community of teachers, staff and students are in Dublin City schools and how they are making great strides in making the district such an amazing place to live in. Shilpa feels that DCS reflects – Integrity, Innovation , Diversity and Inclusion – not just topics to be discussed but a mindset that is ingrained in all the students, teachers and parents . Shilpa strongly believes that bringing together people to volunteer is a great way to give back to the community, also building relationships and connections that last forever. Shilpa believes in “ No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted”
Shilpa is a graduate in Microbiology and is currently working at Cardinal Health, Dublin and is amazed at how much the organization supports volunteering and is looking for ways to give back to the community. Shilpa enjoys reading, cooking and baking with her son Sankalp and husband Srinidhi and loves sharing her love for food with her family, friends and community.
