Melinda Norfleet

Melinda moved to Dublin in 2012 and from the moment she arrived, she has been giving her time back to the community. Her focus has always been on advocating for students and educators.  She has served as PTO President at both, Indian Run Elementary and Davis Middle School, as well as Board President of Dublin Community Preschool and head coach for Girls on the Run for several years. Through her own experience as an educator and her many years of serving as a volunteer in her children’s classrooms, she understands the needs of students and teachers within our schools. She has nothing but high praise for Dublin City Schools, their administrators, teachers and students. Melinda joined the Dublin Education Foundation in 2021 as a way to give back to the community she so dearly loves.

Melinda holds a Bachelor’s degree in psychology and a Master’s degree in education; both from The Ohio State University. Melinda taught middle school for 10 years before deciding to stay home to raise her children. She has recently made her way back into education by serving as a classroom teacher at Dublin Community Preschool, substitute teacher within DCS and most recently joining the team at Hopewell Elementary as the Special Education Secretary.

Melinda loves spending outdoors boating, camping, skiing with her husband, Dave, and their three children, Anna, Will and Kate.
